Graduated on April 21st, 1996 from the University of Maryland (Asian Division/Yokosuka Japan) with an AA degree in Asian studies. I learned to read and write Japanese.
Work Experience
1996-1998 – Staff Filmer/Japan Sales for Disgusted TV
Digusted TV was a local Orange County cable television show that featured skating, surfing and snowboarding. Besides constantly filming I was able to get our show aired over in Japan and sell commercial ad space to five different accounts.
1998-2001 – Senior Staff Filmer/Assistant editor for Progression Video Magazine
My job duties included filming, editing, recruiting talent and road trip/travel managing.
2001-2005 – Black Label Filmer/Editor
I filmed 4 full length videos for Black Label including: “Black Out”, “Label Live”, “Who Cares (The Duane Peters Story)”, and “Back In Black”. I served as an assistant editor for all these videos except for “Label Live”, which I filmed, directed and edited on my own. I also acted as team manager while on the road.
2006-2007 – Independent Videographer/Editor
I just finished editing the newest Foundation video "Cataclysmic Abyss". I have also filmed and edited podcasts and a corporate video for Duffs Shoes. I am scheduled to edit their next promo DVD early this year. Other than that, I spend a lot of time filming for various projects by companies like Nike, Black Label, Foundation, and Duffs. I also have a couple Fuel TV projects coming up with Stereo Skateboards and NCP Films. Lastly, I plan to have Re-Hype done by the end of the year. A video compilation of all my best shots over the last 7 years including never before seen footage.
